  This school is okay but the kids get out of control sometimes and aren't able to be maintained until something has gone too far. But....the security guards, especially the female will troll the hallways just to find someone to yell at. There are amazing opportunities available, but in some instances, there just isn't enough education given to receive these opportunities.

  Vernon was a joy and a surprising delight because I typically despise dealing with insurance agents. people who know me, know this. However, Vernon's team was highly professional. I go with All State because I know that they have a higher standard of customer service, but Vernon took that to the next level. I don't usually recommend anyone for anything, but I will recommend Vernon for auto or home insurance in the Lanham area.

  This is the worst school ever. Anyone in this school, their family is paying for nothing. They have numerous inexperienced teachers, fake grades, you pay for what they are not teaching your child. The principal and vice principal are habitual, perpetual liars and will tell you anything to keep your student in the school. They are extremely manipulative and misrepresent facts all the time. This is suppose to be a Christian school and I enrolled my children their so they could learn in a Christian way but it was the worst experience my family ever had. Any concern you have, the teachers, principal and the entire administration will gang up against you and your children. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY HERE**** Check out their college acceptance rate and real facts about the school, so you can see for your self. I withdrew my children and took them to a public school and they were not able to catch up with numerous public school subjects for their grades. Have you child who is enrolled in this school test or challenge any test or exam for same grade in public school and you will be so disappointed. What a terrible school. Be warned****

• Review of "One Step Up Early Child Care" at Lanham

  My child didn't really learn anything from this establishment. My child did better in a preschool structured environment; it cost more money but moving my child was worth it. The owner was very professional when I first visited so I decided to place my child under their care. But only to find out they watch videos/tv all day. Not worth the money and needless to say you get what you pay for. There are probably some really good home daycares around but daycares like this give other home daycares a bad name. The "teacher" that was in charge of my child was the owners daughter and she didn't know anything. You would ask her something and everything seemed to always be fine when it really wasn't. I hate to say this but she just didn't seem bright at all. Like she was just there because her mother was the owner. Needless to say I wouldn't recommend this place if you're big on early education.
